Settimo Vittone - Nomaglio - Andrate
From Settimo Vittone, following a steep mule-track, it reaches Nomaglio, suburb with interesting examples of alpine and pre-alpine architecture as the ancient Fountain of the Burnel, probable rock altar whose incisions testify an pre-Roman installation.
In a mill it has center the Ecomuseo of the Chestnut, that tells the tradition of this "bread's tree", once very precious for the maintenance of the population.
The gradient in this first line is about 330 meters and the time of route is 1:30 H.
Luciano, Paolo and Roberto, have made a recognition on the North Variant of the official Francigena Way , in the line Montestrutto - Nomaglio - Andrate.
These the considerations:
Beginning from the plaza of Montestrutto with a beautiful mule-track, rich of interesting manufactured articles and of beautiful panoramas, built to rule of art even if rather steep.
The gradient in this first line of about 15-18% and the time of route of around 1:30 H.
From Nomaglio it possiblecome back with the steep mule-track from the slippery fund if bathed, that goes down on Ivozio and in plain to return to Montestrutto.
In alternative it’s possible to continue for Andrate, with other 300 meters of gradient and route of 1:30 H around.
In both the countries exist good areas equipped for the standstill and opening of the services, previous notice.
The reentries are: in the first case of 1 H around. In the second from Andrate of 1:50 H around.
Along the run numerous chapels votives are found with effigies religious representative Saints and Madonna.
Particularly in the lines of mule-track from Montestrutto via Nomaglio to Andrate and from Tochiale to Nomaglio.
In region Salamia the Museum of the Country Civilization can be visited.

Andrate - Chiaverano

Coming back in valley, after a line between chestnut trees and birch tree here is to appear Chiaverano, where it has center the Ecomuseum Morainic Amphitheater of Ivrea.
On a rocky promontory to east of the country, center of the ancient suburb of Sessano, detaches the Church of Saint Stephen (XI sec.), from the bell tower in façade and containing parts of frescos representing Christ, the Apostles and Evangelists Giovanni's symbols and Mark.

Burolo - Bollengo
Going down to east, toward Burolo, the small Church of Saint Maria Maddalena, built on an erratic rock: the sacristy preserves a fresco of the XV sec. representing Christ crucifix, held work of the shop of Domenico of the Marca in Ancona.
